Quenching Your Thirst Since 1930.

At Turner’s, we believe there is nothing more important than the quality and commitment to diligent labor and the value of connecting each and every one of our neighbors. It’s more than the beverages and dairy we bring to the table, it’s a history, a representation of good times and victory, of community coming together.

Our History

Charles G. Turner started Turner Dairy Farms with four cows on rented property in Penn Hills in 1930. Charlie was described as humble, caring, serving, and generous. In the winters, he was often seen plowing Jefferson Road and helping people out of ditches in the harsh snow storms. Charlie also felt responsibility for the children in the community. He wanted to make sure he was supplying the best quality milk in schools and hospitals. Four generations later, we’re still following Charlie’s example, supporting our neighbors and contributing to initiatives at the UPMC Children’s Hospital, Westmoreland County Food Bank and 17 other food pantries.

The Champagne of Pittsburgh

In 1972, we introduced the steelworkers of Pittsburgh to Turner’s Premium Iced Tea. There’s over 50 years of history in every sip, every dewy glass and icy cold carton, connecting our steel city neighbors.

Now available across Pennsylvania and beyond, and instantly recognizable thanks to our iconic orange and yellow packaging, Turner’s line of Premium Iced Teas has been beloved for generations.

Available in a variety of flavors and sizes we’re sure you’ll find a favorite to quench your thirst. Synonymous with Pittsburgh culture, we’re proud to say “There’s Only One Tea In Pittsburgh!”

The only thing more important than our customers is our cows.

Turner’s partners exclusively with 35 local, family dairy farms within 70 miles of our processing facility. While the farms we partner with come in different shapes and sizes, they are all family owned and operated.

Our farm partners are endlessly dedicated to healthy, happy cows and sustainably cultivating their land.

Our farms exceed all requirements of the state and FDA. We have an approved inspector on our team that is licensed by the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Our licensed farm inspector formally inspects each one of our partners 3 times per year. While the state only requires two inspections annually, we believe this is a crucial step to achieve our “Higher Standard.”

At Turner’s, testing both our raw milk supply and finished products are integral to ensure that only the highest quality milk comes through our facility. Our farm partners are relentlessly dedicated to healthy animals, and a clean environment – it’s their livelihood.

All Turner’s milk and dairy products are free from antibiotics and artificial growth hormones (rBGH).

None of Turner’s milk and dairy products contain antibiotics. All of the farms we work with pledge to not use artificial hormones on their cows to unnaturally increase milk production.

Icon Meets Icon

When the crafters of the legendary Iron City Beer sought a fresh brew, it was only fitting to join hands with Turner’s Iced Tea. Pittsburgh Brewing Co. has over 160 years of brewing tradition with a focus on quality and integrity.

They are just as invested in our neighbors as we are at Turner’s. We’re proud to come together to create the most refreshing drink the City of Steel has ever seen.

The sweet, lemony goodness of Turner’s Premium Iced Tea, meets the classic taste of Iron City Beer for the most refreshing drink these three rivers have ever seen.
