Broccoli Cheddar Soup Recipe

A quick and easy soup doesn’t have to be boring. This easy cheesy soup recipe is full of flavor and takes les than an hour to make! Plus, you can lighten it up with Turner’s Half & Half , while keeping it just as creamy.

Here’s how to make the best Broccoli Cheddar Soup.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 whole onion, diced
  • 4 cups Turner’s Whole Milk
  • 2 cups Turner’s Half & Half
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 4 heads broccoli cut into florets
  • dash of salt, plus more as needed
  • black pepper, to taste
  • 3 cups mild cheddar cheese, grated

Instructions:

  • Melt butter over medium heat in a large pot.
  • Then add onion and cook for 3-4 minutes
  • Sprinkle flour over top. Stir to combine and cook for 1 minute.
  • Pour in the milk and half & half. Add the nutmeg, broccoli, salt and plenty of black pepper.
  • Cover and reduce heat to low.
  • Simmer until broccoli is tender, 20-30 minutes.
  • Stir in cheese and allow to melt.
  • Taste seasonings and adjust if needed.
  • Enjoy!
